Mostly Waltz Workshops ~

Our portfolio of themed workshops is a selection of over a decade's worth of workshops at Mostly Waltz and other dance events, both local and afar. The content of each workshop interprets a style of mood of waltz music, such as Latin, orchestrated, slow tempo, blues, etc.

We always include handy waltz tips and technique that even seasoned dancers will appreciate, as well as favorite flourishes

Peggy and Ret have been teaching waltz and other couple dances since 1999, when they co-founded Mostly Waltz, a monthly Sunday afternoon social dance.

~ Cross-step Classes - We'll be teaching a series of 6 classes on Tuesdays, February 21 - March 27, at the Settlement Music School in Willow Grove, PA

~ Swing Dance Classes - We'll be teaching a series of 7 classes on Fridays, February 24 - April 7, at the Ambler YMCA in Lower Gwynedd, PA. Call for information. 215.628.9950

~ April 22, NEFFA, Mansfield, MA, Zwiefachers - Ret leads open dance session, Peggy plays with Mother Zwiefacher Orchestra in High School Dance Hall from 10:00 -10:50am. Waltz workshop - The Ins and Outs of Promenade. Expand your repertoire of waltz moves and develop your partnering skills both in and out of promenade position. This is an intermediate/advanced level workshop, taught by Peggy & Ret. Middle School Dance Hall from 2:00 - 2:50pm. (Festival is April 20 - 21: see full schedule)

NEFFA, Mansfield High School, Mansfield, MA (April 2011) Advanced Latin Waltz, ~ Latin-style waltzes are up-tempo and exciting. The workshop material includes lunges, pivots and swivels with a "south of the border" feel. Thought I'd get off an email to you straight away to tell you what a great class it was on Saturday at the NEFFA festival. I've taken so many dance lessons in the past and very little has stuck with me. Your Latin Waltz class was different, I learned a lot that I know will stay with me.
